Thorough and professional. He communicated consistently throughout the entire process. From the moment I called, I got email and text notifications, appointment reminders, and I was able to ask questions. Chris installed 4 dedicated circuits in my garage and wired in a mini split. I can't recommend CWC Electric enough.

I had a handful of electrical chores I needed tackled. I reached out to CWC based on a neighbor's recommendation. Glad I did. Chris was awesome! Great, honest communication throughout the process. He provided a quote that gave a detailed description of the scope of work to be done. The work was done neatly and in a timely manner. He even cleaned up all of the drywall dust!

Common questions

Standby Generators: straight answers

What size standby generator do I need?

It depends on what you want to run during an outage. Most homes in our area land between 18 and 26 kW to carry the AC, well pump, refrigerator, and lights. We do a load calculation on site and size it to what you actually need instead of guessing.

Will it run my whole house?

It can. A generator sized for the whole home carries everything, including the air conditioning. A smaller unit can cover the essentials for less. We price the options so you can choose.

Does it run on natural gas or propane?

Either one. If you already have natural gas at the house, that is usually the simplest. On propane, the size of the tank determines how long the generator can run, and we go over that with you.

Does a standby generator need maintenance?

Yes. Like any engine it needs regular service to stay reliable. We offer yearly maintenance so it starts when you need it.

I already own a portable generator. Can I use that?

Yes. An interlock kit and outdoor inlet let you run selected circuits from a portable generator for a fraction of the cost of a standby system. See generator interlock kits for details.
